July 19, 2026 became the hottest day in July in the entire history of meteorological observations in Bishkek, data from the Weather and Climate website say.
The maximum air temperature in Kyrgyzstan’s capital reached +43.5°C, which is 10.1 degrees above the climatic norm.
Earlier, on July 17 and 18, daily temperature records were also broken, with temperatures reaching +41.6°C (7.7 degrees above the norm) and +43.2°C (9.6 degrees above the norm), respectively.
The hottest July on record was in 2019, when the average monthly temperature reached +28.7°C, compared with the normal average of +25.5°C.
The Kyrgyz Hydrometeorological Service forecasts short-term rains and a drop in air temperatures starting from July 21.
